Development Forum

DEVELOPMENT COMITTEE AND DEVELOPMENT FORUM

A College Development Committee has been constituted by the college management for looking after the over all development of the institution. President, Cochin Devaswom Board is the president of the committee and the Principal is the ex-officio secratary.The committee is formed with proper representation of members of teaching and non-teaching staff, parents, old students, the Engineering wing of the Cochin Devaswom Board and the college union Chairman. The committee started functioning in the year 1999 and as its first venture, a centralized library blockhas been constructed makiing use of the liberal donation from parents, teachers, members of the non-teaching staff and well-wishers of the college. After that, a new auditorium has been constructed with the financial assistance from the M.P. Fund. The auditorium has been named as "V.V.Raghavan Auditorium" in remembrance of Late V.V. R aghavan M.P. who helped to provide financial assistance.

DEVELOPMENT FORUM
Later, a sub committee of the Development Committee was formed becausee of the practical difficulties in conducting the meetings of the Development Committee frequently. The Sub Committee is named as College Development Forum" and the Principal is the Chair Person of the Forum. One Senior member of the teaching Staff acts as the convenor and the forum is an internal organizational set up of the college to undertake developmental activities. Under this Forum, the construction of a new seminar Hall and Canteen and the renovation of the old block had been undertaken in a commendable manner.
