Electoral Literacy Club

Electoral Literacy Club (ELC)

 

An Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) is a platform to engage students through interesting activities and hands-on experience to sensitize them to their electoral rights and familiarise them with the electoral process of registration and voting. At ELCs, learning meets fun. Activities and Games are designed to stimulate and motivate students provoking them to think and ask questions. Through ELC, the Election Commission of India aims at strengthening the culture of electoral participation among young and future voters.

 

Electoral Literacy Club in Sree Keralavarma College has come into function on 07/03/23. The Club was officially inaugurated by Shri. Jayakrishnan V. M IAS, Assistant Collector of Thrissur. The inaugural function was chaired by Shri. V. A Narayana Menon, Principal in Charge. Smt. Jyothi M. C, Deputy Collector (Election) delivered the keynote address. Thereafter, Shri. Bharath Dersan R, Section Assistant, District Election Office Thrissur has made a detailed presentation on Electoral Literacy and ELC activities.
