Dr. T.D. Simon is the Head of the Department of Economics, Sree Keralavarma College, Thrissur. He did his PG and Ph.D from Department of Economics, University of Calicut (Dr. John Matthai Centre, Aranattukara). Before joining Sree Keralavarma College, Thrissur, he had associated with Kerala Forest Research Institute, Centre for Development Studies, Kerala Agricultural University and Ernst and Young.

In Sree Keralavarma College, Thrissur he has served as NSS Co-ordinator, IQAC Co-ordinator and PFMS Coordinator. He has presented seminar papers in national and international seminars and published papers in reputed journals. He has carried out various projects of University Grants Commission, ICSSR-NUEPA, Council for Social Development, etc. He is one of the Research Guides of Department of Economics, University of Calicut (Dr. John Matthai Centre, Aranattukara, Thrissur).

His areas of interest are Econometrics, International Economics, Public Finance and Health Economics. He is one of the members of UG Board of Studies, University of Calicut.
